Second Life

 

As we see from the name. Second life is online platform which you can actually do anything you want. You can either be a 12 years old girl or 65 years old man. You can even be a unrealistic creatures like vampire or robot. You can do anything you can do in real life. Even do the things you can't in real life. You can hangout with your friends and go to your home by flying. You can kill time in second life if you don't have anything to do in real life. You can socialize by meeting people. You can even improve your second language by engaging people. Which is a really serious advantage this game offers to us.

Second life has it's own economy. It has it's own currency unit named as linden dollar and stock market. 1 US dollar equals to 50 linden dollar. In the beginning you pay 9 US dollars and get 50 linden dollars but it's not enough for anything actually. Because you have to pay for everything in second life. You have to pay to buy clothes, buy home, eat or drink, newspapers, to get married nearly everything.

You can exchange the linden dollars you have earned in the second life in exchange office. And transfer it to your bank account in real life as a US dollar via paypal. Some people actually play second life to earn money to make living.

Even some companies used Second Life to market their products. Turkish Company Vestel used to have an island in Second Life 2 years ago. And there was a staff who were working in that island.

Even we used Second Life as a class. During our exams our friends teached us lessons. As i've said. You can do anything in second life...
